SF17-JB. This could be the name of the new Ferrari car for the 2017 Formula One season, as indicated by a recent Twitter post from the official Santander account. Realising the fact that they have revealed the name before Scuderia Ferrari actually announced it, Santandar immediately removed the tweet but not until the word got out and press reported the news.
If this information turnes out to be true, Sebastian Vettel and Kimi Raikkonen’s car for the new Formula One championship season will be named in tribute to the team’s former young driver Jules Bianchi, who tragically passed away on July 17, 2015 after sustaining injuries while driving for Manor at the 2014 Japanese Grand Prix.
The Italian manufacturers will officially unveil its 2017 car to the public on February 24 ahead of the first official pre-season test taking place at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya on February 27 – March 2.
