The desert sand and the wind play a major role at this circuit, as we have seen on several occasions: sand gets on the track which can cause a lack of grip. As the Bahrain International Circuit is not used much during the year, it’s already slippery by nature. Since 2014, the Bahrain Grand Prix has been held in the evening. This makes it the third Grand Prix on the calendar that takes place in the dark, alongside Singapore and Abu Dhabi.
