The Letter from President John Elkann to the Ferrari Team after the Triumph in the 24 Hours of Le Mans
“Dear colleagues,
Today we have experienced an unforgettable day, which I dedicate to all those who work at Ferrari. After 50 years, we have returned to compete in the top category of endurance racing, which has shaped our history and that of motorsport.
We are proud to have placed Italy on the highest step of the podium at the 24 Hours of Le Mans, celebrating in the best possible way the centenary of the world’s most important race in its category.”
These are words of great emotion and admiration from the President of the Prancing Horse, who wanted to thank everyone within the Ferrari AF Corse team, starting from Antonello Coletta, the main architect of this success, to the mechanics for their relentless work throughout the race.

“The victory that Antonello Coletta, Amato Ferrari, Ferdinando Cannizzo, and the entire team, from the mechanics to the drivers, achieved under difficult conditions – given the duration of the race, uncertain weather, and incredibly strong competitors – must serve as an example for all of us.
The excitement they have given to our fans on this historic day connects the past, present, and future. It reminds us of the importance of having the courage and humility to always improve. With enthusiasm and joy, I want to thank all our colleagues who have led us to this great victory. A success that we celebrate with our fans and our country.”
The success of Hypercar #51 represents a moment that will remain indelible in the history of the Prancing Horse. It is, in fact, the first victory in the world’s longest race in 58 years, and 50 years after their last participation. Moreover, it came after an exhausting battle with Toyota, the true favorite on the eve of the Le Mans weekend.
