After the news of Lewis Hamilton’s departure from Mercedes, many hoped for a possible agreement between Ferrari and one of the British driver’s most important sponsors, Tommy Hilfiger. Hopes were also fueled by the partnership signed between the Silver Arrows and Adidas, with the German brand supplying all technical material to the Brackley team starting this season.
Tommy signs with another team
In the end, however, Tommy Hilfiger reached an agreement with another team on the grid, namely Cadillac. “We are an American team representing one of the most iconic U.S. brands of all time. And the same goes for Tommy Hilfiger, a globally recognized brand that has always been close to Formula 1. This partnership aims to reflect the spirit on which we are building our entry into the Circus. Together, we want to bring innovation to both entertainment and engineering,” said Graeme Lawdon, team principal of Cadillac.
Nothing to do, then, for Ferrari, with the Scuderia’s fans hoping to see merchandise signed by the famous American brand, with which Lewis Hamilton has collaborated on several occasions over the years. In addition to track-related collections, the seven-time world champion also launched other lines that achieved great success. Number 44 has never hidden his passion for fashion, as shown by the flamboyant outfits he wears in paddocks around the world.
