1996 represents a new starting point for the Maranello squad. The two time world champion Michael Schumacher comes and the new Ferrari F310 makes its debut on track.
Despite the many innovations the new engine is still lacking in reliability and in the season the F310 doesn’t meet the expectations, only partially filling the gap to the benchmark teams. The F310 credit is to lay solid foundations for a new technical path that in the next decade took Ferrari and Schumacher back to a dominant position.
