Italian journalist and Ferrari insider Leo Turrini commented on the recent 2024 Formula 1 Belgian Grand Prix, the last race before the summer break started, during the television program Race Anatomy, produced by Sky Sport F1.

The Italian commentator and Formula 1 expert focused particularly on the performances of the two Mercedes drivers, stating: “I had called George Russell ‘the brilliant friend’ for this victory, which was then taken away from him.” – Leo Turrini pointed out after the Belgian Grand Prix at the Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps last weekend – “I think it’s also worth mentioning that we are seeing a Lewis Hamilton who is a blessing from God for Ferrari fans because, judging by the way he’s driving, he still seems exceptionally motivated.” – the well-known Italian journalist added.
“This is very important, knowing that he will soon be wearing Red. And we hope that Fréd Vasseur provides him with a slightly more brilliant car,” Leo Turrini concluded.
Ferrari: Hamilton is not enough
Lewis Hamilton is proving to still be the driver who won seven Formula 1 world championship titles, giving hope to the Scuderia’s fans for the future. Clearly, on the other hand, the arrival of the Englishman will not be the immediate solution to all of the Maranello team’s problems, just as the arrivals of Fernando Alonso and Sebastian Vettel were not.
It will take time and work, but Ferrari with this level of performance from Lewis Hamilton can truly dream; we will see if it will be with closed eyes or open eyes.
