There are less than 48 hours left before the official ticket sale for the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix begins. The Formula 1 event which will see the single-seaters compete along the Imola track is scheduled to take place on the weekend of 19-21 May 2023. The marketing and sale of tickets will be entrusted to Ticketone.
Formula1.it contacted ACI (Automobile Club of Italy) and were able to get a preview of the prices for Sunday.
Imola: Italian layout, Italian issues, but prices worthy of the Principality of Monaco
If today you try to contact the racetrack to ask for information about the cost of the tickets, the only answer you get is: “We have no news about the prices, they will go on sale on December 21st at 12:00”.
Obviously for fans who have already booked their flight or hotel, it might be important to know the amount to spend in order to participate in the event, considering that it will already be difficult to get one of the few tickets available at the racetrack.
Imola, on the other hand, is famous for the many difficulties that every year befall those who want to attend the Grand Prix in the Italian town, and they do not only concern the well-known traffic problems, with the very long queues that form along the streets that lead to the racetrack. Perhaps an even bigger problem is that sales management is not entrusted directly to the ACI or the circuit, but to TicketOne, which usually generates a certain delay in the sale of tickets and, as we have been able to experience directly, prevents the access to the updated price list in advance.

To find out the prices of individual seats for the Sunday of the race, Formula1.it directly contacted ACI. For the main day, the price starts from €200 for the Rivazza and Villeneuve grandstands, €300 for the Acque Minerali, Variante Alta and Tosa, and then reaches a maximum of €660 for the grandstand on the starting straight, per single ticket. This means €60 more than the 2022 Emilia Romagna Grand Prix, and even a difference of €90 when compared to this year’s prices for the grandstand next to the Tobacco Shop in Monaco. Formula 1 is enjoying a major surge in popularity, resulting in an increase in paying audiences, but let’s hope that as the years go by, prices don’t go soaring and that all motorsport fans can continue to enjoy this live event, which indeed seems increasingly elitist.
We just have to wait for December 21st at 12:00, to access the first presale of tickets, hoping that the site will not become overloaded, preventing you from using the service.
