Following the excellent performance achieved during the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix at the Jeddah circuit last weekend, Scuderia Ferrari could reach an agreement with one of four teams to let Oliver Bearman race in the 2025 Formula 1 season.
The Ferrari Driver Academy member’s seventh-place finish in Saudi Arabia continues to be a topic of discussion at Ferrari with a view to the 2025 F1 championship. The English talent has indeed demonstrated that he has what it takes to secure a seat as early as next season.
For Oliver Bearman, it was his first complete Formula 1 weekend (without the first two free practice sessions) ever. The fact that he hit the track in a car not his own, just a few hours before a qualifying session on a very complex track like Jeddah, was certainly his consecration.
All the veterans on the grid were spellbound by what they saw, and some even predicted the possibility of a seat for the young Brit from the Ferrari Driver Academy. Among the most plausible hypotheses is certainly Haas, which is the only team powered by Ferrari, but three others could also welcome Ollie Bearman from next Formula 1 season.
According to BBC Sport writer Andrew Benson, Ferrari could reach an agreement not only with Haas, but also with one of Williams, Sauber, or Alpine. “Where is it likely to be? Bearman is a member of the Ferrari driver academy, and they won’t want to let him go. So the most obvious candidate is Haas, which is a close partner of Ferrari,” explains the journalist.

“But quite a few teams are likely interested in him after his performance in Saudi Arabia, so Ferrari could easily reach an agreement with Williams, Sauber, or perhaps even with Alpine,” Andrew Benson adds.
It remains to be seen what choice Ferrari will make to allow the young talent to grow considering that for at least two seasons, the regular drivers of the Maranello team will be Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc.
