During the Belgian Grand Prix weekend, we witnessed not only the on-track battles but also a very peculiar “war” just off the race track. We are referring to the rivalry between Ferrari and Red Bull, but this time, the two teams didn’t use their race cars; instead, they used their stickers. Here are the details.
The sticker battle continues
We already talked about it in recent days. It all started when Christian Horner was caught on camera by the international broadcast covering the Ferrari logo on a young fan’s cap inside the Red Bull garage with a piece of adhesive tape.
From that moment, the two teams playfully engaged in a game, capturing and tagging each other on social media while applying their team stickers on the outer walls of their rival’s motorhomes.
However, the team principal of the Austrian squad didn’t stop at placing his logo on the walls of the Prancing Horse; he “struck” Frederic Vasseur from behind while both were on the starting grid on Sunday during the pre-race activities.
Who knows if the game is over, or if the Ferrari personnel will seek revenge for their team principal…
