Scuderia Ferrari will officially kick off the 2024 Formula One season with two days of testing at Fiorano. Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz, in fact, will be the protagonists on the track driving the 2022 F1-75; here are the official dates.
For the Scuderia, it’s already time to rev up the engines, looking ahead to the longest season in the history of Formula 1 (24 race weekends, including 6 Sprints).
Fiorano Test Dates
The two drivers of the Prancing Horse, Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz, will have the opportunity to drive the 2022 car at the Fiorano circuit on January 9th and 10th.
For the first time since the introduction of the new regulations, drivers will be able to use a ground-effect single-seater for these private tests, even though their value is obviously relative.
It is, in fact, only a “warm-up,” an early ignition of the engines, looking toward 2024.

Ferrari will unveil the 676, which should be the name of the car, being the project name in Maranello, on February 13th. The new Red car will bring several innovations to the track (click on the first link below for more information) with the goal of being more competitive. Paradoxically, however, for the engineers of the Prancing Horse, it will be more important to verify that this project still has room for improvement and that the direction taken does not lead to a dead end.
Also, considering Red Bull’s clear superiority in 2023, it would be reckless to think that Ferrari is the favorite to win the Championship.
This doesn’t mean that the Maranello team has no hopes of success in the upcoming season, but simply that winning is “not necessary,” if there are increasingly positive and encouraging signs for the future.
