The head of the Ferrari Racing Division is putting the finishing touches on the deep reorganization that will take place in the Maranello.
The dictatorship exercised by Red Bull in the 2023 F1 World Championship has forced all its rivals to rework the short and medium-term plans they had laid out.
In the case of Ferrari, Frederic Vasseur is putting the finishing touches on the deep reorganization that will take place in the Gestione Sportiva in the coming months, once the redesign of the sidepods bodywork of Carlos Sainz and Charles Leclerc’s SF23 to adapt them to the aerodynamics of the RB19 is completed.
According to the Spanish version of DAZN, this real revolution that will make a 180º turn to the Maranello’s Formula 1 project will have a significant impact.
Since December 13, 2022, when Ferrari confirmed the signing of Frederic Vasseur as Mattia Binotto‘s replacement, there has been an unprecedented rotation of technicians, engineers, engine specialists, aerodynamicists, and developers at the Maranello factory.
A real revolving door where, in addition to the appointments of Enrico Cardile as technical director, Enrico Gualtieri as head of engines, and Diego Tondi as head of aerodynamics and development, it is expected that 90 new engineers (6% of Ferrari’s total workforce) will start working in the coming months at the factory located in the province of Modena.

The main objective of these signings is to bring a breath of fresh air to the Ferrari Racing Division with the hope of being able to manufacture a more competitive car that will allow Carlos Sainz and Charles Leclerc to fight for victories and the title in 2024.
“Half of these new hires are people with experience, and the other half are people with little work experience. Some will be newcomers to Formula 1, while others will be experts,” says Frederic Vasseur in ‘QuiFinanza.’
