Scuderia Ferrari have ended their nine-year sponsorship deal with shipping giant UPS, having served as its official shipping and logistics partner.
The UPS logo has appeared on Ferrari race suits and their branding since 2013, and the Maranello team’s official website informs that they had been “providing time-critical deliveries, insights and support to the Ferrari network worldwide” in that time.
UPS has been removed from the list of the racing team partners on Ferrari’s website, as sportsbusinessjournal.com confirmed that the contract between the Italian side and sponsor had not been renewed:
“UPS’s sponsorship deal with F1 team Scuderia Ferrari has ended without a renewal, the team confirmed to SBJ today. UPS had been a partner of the F1 team since ’13, becoming its official logistics and shipping partner, and it had extended the deal multiple times since then. Logistics is an important category for F1 teams because they transport freight all over the world on a monthly basis to support the series’ globetrotting schedule. ” – Sports Business Journal reports.
