At 9:13, the Ferrari SF-24 hit the track at Fiorano to complete the 200 kilometers scheduled for the filming day. Carlos Sainz was at the wheel of the new Red car. Leclerc will take over in the afternoon from 13:15.
Let the dance begin. The first real dance of the Ferrari SF-24, that is, the kilometers allowed by the sporting regulations for those doing the filming day, started this morning, with the new Red car putting its wheels on the Fiorano track after warming up the 066/12 engine.
The SF-24 hit the track at 9:13 with Carlos Sainz at the wheel. It is clear that today Ferrari will follow the order already used yesterday for the Shakedown, with the Madrilenian being the first to take it to the track and then handing over the wheel to Charles Leclerc in the afternoon.
Carlos Sainz immediately completed a 2-lap run. The first, the one leaving Fiorano’s box, with the car designated for filming day shots. The second lap, however, he did alone, without a car in front.
The first run was used to check that all systems were in order, although the SF-24 completed the first 15 kilometers yesterday without apparent problems.
Sainz, as already happened yesterday, took to the track with demo tires made by Pirelli. The sporting regulations stipulate that for Shakedown and filming day, this type of tires should be used to avoid giving any advantage to teams exploiting the 200 kilometers allowed.
In this regard, we recall that from this year, the kilometers allowed for each filming day are 200, doubled compared to last year. Each team has a maximum of 2 filming days per year to exploit, thus totaling 400 kilometers.

Yesterday, after the presentation at noon, the SF-24 made its first laps with Carlos Sainz at the wheel. Perhaps a recognition after learning that from 2025 his place will be taken by Lewis Hamilton. In the afternoon, it was Charles Leclerc’s turn, who was able to get in touch with the new single-seater, already judging it a step ahead of the SF-23 and less difficult to drive.
Update: at 1:15 pm this afternoon, the SF-24 returned to the track, but this time with the number 16 on the nose and on both sides of the engine hood. At the wheel, in fact, is Charles Leclerc, who completes the 100 kilometers (about thirty laps in total) allocated to him out of today’s 200 made available by the filming day, taking advantage of the afternoon hours.
The sun continues to be a friend of Ferrari. The clear sky above Fiorano and the good temperatures favor the shooting and refining work of the single-seater presented yesterday at lunchtime. Also, Charles, like Sainz, completed laps in the company of an Alfa Romeo Stelvio prepared to capture the Red car on the track, but also in complete solitude.
