Charles Leclerc spoke openly about Scuderia Ferrari, his contract renewal, and the significance of Fred Vasseur for his assurance about the future with the Maranello team in red.

“Ferrari is my life, Fred Vasseur is my certainty,” said Charles Leclerc after the Bahrain Grand Prix. The Monegasque driver gave a comprehensive interview to the Italian daily newspaper Corriere della Sera, discussing his relationship with the Maranello-based team and its French team principal.

Ferrari’s number 16 once again stated his love for the team that propelled him into the world of Formula 1. Despite recurring challenges in his career and the recent issues faced in Bahrain, the Monegasque driver emphasized the importance of the Maranello team for him.

“Fred’s determination in identifying the right profiles played a fundamental role in my confirmation. With him, I feel completely ‘on board’; it’s a fantastic feeling,” Charles Leclerc said in his interview for Corriere della Sera.

“Fred Vasseur has found all the best people we could need for the cause. Moreover, he also ensured that they performed at their best. He knows how to talk to everyone and motivate them. I wouldn’t say he’s harsh; rather, he is an extremely honest person. He tells you things as they are, without wasting time on unnecessary matters. “Currently, I don’t set time limits for winning. At most, I will do it when I no longer believe in the project. But now I believe in it 200%, so I don’t see why I should have any limits,” Charles Leclerc continued.

Then a final observation: “The SF-24 is less sensitive to the wind, drives better, gives me more confidence. Have I ever thought of leaving Ferrari? No, I have never considered it. Ferrari is my life, it is now, it was before. It has always been” concluded the Monegasque.
