2018 Bahrain Grand Prix weather forecast:
The Bahrain Grand Prix is one of the very few races in the season that takes place at night, and what’s more is that Bahrain’s weather in April makes the experience perfect. The balance of warm sunshine in the morning and the cooler temperatures in the evening allows you to enjoy the race without worrying about any April showers. From the Formula 1 teams’ point of view, different weather conditions can result in very different races, and Formula 1 teams adapt their strategy accordingly, for example using different tyres in wet conditions, and taking account of cross winds which can cause stability problems at high speeds.
The Bahrain reliable weather virtually guarantees dry running and the 2018 edition apparently will not be an exception, although some light rain is expected on Friday, yet not during the free practice time interval. However, drivers and teams will be facing different temperatures during race time and strong winds which could blow sand across the Bahrain International Circuit. This means that the bodywork on the cars may have to be slightly opened to aid the cooling configuration, but chassis engineers will no doubt be trying to limit these openings to negate any detrimental effect on the aero performance. Due to the higher temperatures, tire degradation is expected to be more critical than in the previous race.
