Spielberg’s Red Bull Ring circuit is characterized by its elevation changes, as well as for its beautiful natural backdrop: panoramic views of Styria’s green countryside.
After 18 consecutive races from 1970 to 1981, the Spielberg Circuit was reduced before hosting another 6 races from 1997 to 2003. It then became impracticable and was bought and rebuilt in the following years by Red Bull’s Dietrich Mateschiltz. Renamed the Red Bull Ring, the track was reopened for new thrilling Austrian F1 action.
Join us later in the afternoon for the latest updates and results from the Red Bull Ring in Spielberg, Styria as the qualifying session for the 2018 Austrian Grand Prix is about to get underway, with Sebastian Vettel and Kimi Raikkonen at the wheel of the SF71H, ready to challenge Mercedes and Red Bull for pole position in Austria.
