Things aren’t going well at Scuderia Ferrari yet, despite a second place for Charles Leclerc at the GP of Austria. During qualifying this weekend the Monegasque couldn’t make it past eleventh position.
After a disappointing qualification for the Austrian Grand Prix for Ferrari, the team’s performance did not improve this weekend. Sebastian Vettel came no further than P10, while Charles Leclerc already had to stop after Q2 in eleventh position.
“Unfortunately we had the rain once we were on the second set but anyway the main problem today is that we were just not quick enough. Not much to do. We were 1.8 off and however we look at it, we are just too slow at the moment. We need to work!”- Charles Leclerc said at the end of the qualifying session in Austria.
“I knew that we would face a difficult situation today. Yesterday I chose a more aggressive setup on the front. I wanted to try it and it was positive in dry conditions, while in the wet it turned out to be more difficult. Saying it’s an undriveable car seems frankly too much to me. I wouldn’t go that far. Certainly for me in these conditions it was more difficult. However the goal is that the car is good for tomorrow in the dry and on that I think we did the right choice.” – the Monegasque driver concluded.
