Italian daily newspaper published in Milan Corriere della Sera quotes Giorgio Terruzzi suggesting that the new Scuderia Ferrari Formula One car codenamed 669 may get a touch of grey, referring to a possible sponsorship from the cigarette manufacturer Philip Morris.
Motorsport Italy also confirmed this recent news from Italian journalist Giorgio Terruzzi. According to sources, leading tobacco company Philip Morris International (PMI) will promote its new product IQOS, as the cigarette maker is waiting to get permission from the authorities to put their sticker on Scuderia Ferrari car for the 2018 Formula One season. The new product has reduced the toxicity level from 95 to 90 percent. Over 4.7 million consumers have already chosen to switch from cigarettes to this product: Philip Morris’ tobacco heating system IQOS. At the heart of IQOS are sophisticated electronics that heat specially designed heated tobacco units. IQOS heats the tobacco just enough to release a flavorful nicotine-containing vapor but without burning the tobacco.
The Italian site also informs that the colour scheme of the Ducati GP18, which was presented on January 15, will come to the Maranello team. After losing Banco Santander as a sponsor, there is plenty of room for Philip Morris on the 2018 Scuderia Ferrari car, which will be officially revealed on Thursday.
