The US Grand Prix is back at the purpose-built Circuit of the Americas in the relaxed university town of Austin, Texas. There’s plenty about F1’s trips to Texas that sticks in the memory. In 1984 the circus came to Fair Park in Dallas where Larry ‘JR Ewing’ Hagman started the race, Keke Rosberg won it and Nigel Mansell tried to push his car across the finish line in searing heat before passing out on the track.
Mercedes driver Lewis Hamilton has dominated here since it moved to COTA in 2012, winning five times. But last season, Kimi Raikkonen won for Scuderia Ferrari, as the Maranello team will now be looking to replicate the success from 2018.
Follow us in a few moments for the latest updates and results from the United States Grand Prix, as the first practice session is about to get underway, with Sebastian Vettel and Charles Leclerc at the wheel of the SF90, ready to evaluate the ideal set-up ahead of the qualifying session and the race on Sunday.
