Since 1986 the Hungaroring just outside of Budapest, Hungary, has hosted the Hungarian Grand Prix, the first F1 race to go behind the Iron Curtain. This incredibly tight track has been compared to a karting course because of it’s lack of straights and the high downforce packages teams opt for when racing here. Set in lush green surroundings, the proximity to lively Budapest makes this one of the most popular F1 destinations. This track can often throw a spanner in the works, with Damon Hill, Fernando Alonso, Jenson Button, and Heikki Kovalainen all getting their first wins here.
Join us later in the afternoon for the latest updates and results from the Hungaroring, as the second practice session for the 2019 Hungarian Grand Prix is about to get underway, with Sebastian Vettel and Charles Leclerc at the wheel of the SF90, ready to continue evaluating the ideal set-up ahead of the qualifying session and the race on Sunday.
